Jen’s Designer Deal’s - A Stylish Success in Gulf Breeze

What initially started out as a hobby for Gulf Breeze resident Jennifer Wells, selling designer clothing and handbags on eBay and styling and shopping for people, has evolved into a successful boutique and styling service.

After she realized that her skills fulfilled a needed service in the community, she launched Jen’s Designer Deals in 2015.

Clothing with a Cause

Jen’s Designer Deals is more than just a boutique. Jen’s passion for connecting with and supporting other local businesses and giving back to the community is an important part of what has helped make her successful. She is focused on making women feel incredible and confident.

She frequently partners with other local businesses to offer her customers a diverse selection of products and services, as well as to help promote others in the community. Jen also supports non-profit organizations with “shopping for a cause” events, connecting her customers with businesses and the non-profits with donors.

Jen’s goal is to not only provide the best deals on designer quality clothing, handbags, and shoes, but to offer the customer an experience through customer service and building relationships. She also offers private appointments, special events, styling services and personal shopping services.

The Santa Rosa Support System

Jen launched her business in Gulf Breeze in Santa Rosa County because it’s where she’s called home since 2001. Her dedicated customer base lives from Navarre and the Beaches, to Milton, Pensacola, Perdido, and beyond.  Many swing in regularly to shop in person and many shop online and either hold for pickup or have shipped.

The Gulf Breeze community is where her children have grown up and where she pays taxes. “It’s my community and I’m very intertwined with it, from the schools to my church, other businesses, and organizations,” she said.

When officially launching her storefront in 2019, Jen worked with the Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Santa Rosa Economic Development Office (SREDO) for their incredible, and free, small business support.

“Their guidance at every turn was crucial to my success and even more so once the unfortunate events of Covid and then Hurricane Sally happened,” Jen said. “ I really believe that I would have not survived these events if it were not for the support of the SBDC, the Gulf Breeze Chamber of Commerce, and the community rallying together to save Gulf Breeze Proper. The SBDC assisted me in identifying, applying for, and receiving financial aid, and encouraged me to navigate through.”

Small Business Advice

Jen takes pride in helping other small businesses succeed. Her advice is to get involved with as many local organizations as possible because networking and local partnerships are so important.

“We are all neighbors working to make this the best community,” she said.
